When the air conditioner is on it put more of a load on the engine causing the hood to vibrate more. My scion xa is shaking when idle help please 2005 scion xa it might just be that the air filter holder is somehow knocking on a 015 012part of the engine. When i turned the holder away from the engine and 015 012then retightened the strap that holds the filter housing properly i 015 012lose the knocking.
